U petak 10. siječnja u 19 sati u LAUBI – KUĆI ZA LJUDE I UMJETNOST otvara se bijenalna IZLOŽBA HRVATSKOG DIZAJNA 23/24 – najveća izložba suvremenog dizajnerskog stvaralaštva u Hrvatskoj. U sklopu otvorenja bit će održana i svečana dodjela nagrada HDD-a, za koje se ove godine natječe čak 346 radova širom 9 profesionalnih i 9 studentskih kategorija obuhvaćenih izložbom, a sežu u rasponu od dizajna vizualnih komunikacija, oblikovanja knjiga, digitalnih medija, dizajna ambalaže, produkt dizajna, mode, koncepata, prostornih i grafičkih intervencija, kao i cjelovitih projekata i proizvoda.

“I believe that when one simply pays attention to the current conditions, there are plenty of unexplored areas of designers’ work. We often create fonts for languages where no other fonts have been made before. Everyone is just paying attention to what other people are doing and not what needs to be done. This way, we have hundreds of thousands of fonts for Latin and no functional fonts for the Syllabic script. Personally, I am interested in the impact of design, and it is easier to make a positive impact when one engages with an unexplored area of the discipline rather than working in an area where thousands of other people are doing the work already.” – Interviewed by: Ora Mušćet
